Solid progress for GSGroup

The Sandefjord-based technology company GSGroup increased revenues by 4.7 per cent to 25 million euro in 2018. Profit before depreciation, write-downs and financial expenses (EBITDA) was 3 million euro, an increase of 11 per cent for the company.

"2018 was a positive year for GSGroup. Despite tough competition in the market, we have managed to increase sales and achieve a better market position in almost all the countries we are represented in," says CEO Espen Virik Ranvik of GSGroup.

GSGroup is a leading European supplier, which since the early 1990s has worked and developed advanced sensor technology for fleet management and electronic driving book. In addition, the company has order management tools that simplify the job for craftsmen and others who work mobile. The sensor technology encompasses a wide range, and has increasingly been used to monitor, among other things, temperature and humidity in the transport of medicines and foods.

"Our services cover a wide range of products, but we see that more and more customers are choosing us as a total supplier. For example, several large companies use both fleet management, mobile order handling, and our tracking services," says Virik Ranvik.

In total, the Group has offices in 14 different locations in nine countries. In addition to the head office in Sandefjord, the company is established with offices in Oslo, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Copenhagen, Esbjerg, Tallinn, Riga, Vilnius, Dortmund, Hamburg, Budapest, Tampere and Vantaa.

GSGroup implemented several strategic measures in 2018, including the establishment of a business unit for sensor solutions in Hamburg, in addition to the acquisition of Danish Care4All and its subsidiary Flextrack. The acquisition strengthens the company's position in the market further, and will benefit the customer in several ways, Virik Ranvik tells.

"Our products make it easier to optimize the use of resources, thereby reducing both costs and CO2 emissions. Sustainability is becoming more important and important for our customers and is a driver for growth in the years to come," says Virik Ranvik.
